GIRLS FOOTBALL

GIRLS FOOTBALL

A youth girls' soccer team celebrating with medals and a trophy behind a sign that reads 'Kent County Cup Final Winners' on a soccer field.
A girls' soccer team sitting on a bench after a game, wearing green and white striped jerseys, black shorts, and black socks, with some holding trophies. Behind them is a green banner that reads 'PADDODCK WOOD F.C.' and a sign with the logo 'PWFC'. The setting is an outdoor soccer field with a fence and cars in the background.

The Next Generation (Players and Coaches)

As well as wanting the girls to come along and play, we are also very keen to invite the parents (dads and especially mums) who want to be involved in the journey.

You don't need to arrive as a coach. We will help you - 4 of the 5 coaches listed above took their FA Level 1 badge last year, funded by the club, having had no idea they would even be a coach the year before! The best coaches we have are enthusiastic, keen to learn and positive - those qualities are far more important in the early stages of getting involved than an extensive knowledge of tactics or technique. You can learn that stuff as you go along and many have - we have parent coaches qualified to a high FA / UEFA levels now, their development funded by the club, who started the journey just like everyone else - with a young child who wanted to play football.

And the people who used to be you are always willing to share what they have learnt - the things that have worked, the things that haven't and the things they wish they'd known at the start but nobody told them! It can seem daunting, but every single one of our coaches will tell you that they don't regret getting involved for a second.

So.....if you are thinking of coming along for the first time, write to David Rule - davidrule1967@gmail.com
